REQUESTS MADE BY INMATES ARE FREE!

Welcome to the Going Against the Grain Prison Ministry where we are working to help reform the uninformed. There are over 900,000 black male inmates in prison across America. This equates to roughly 44%. When taking into account the areas that are scantly Black populated, the inmate ratio of the Black community skyrockets to almost 80% of those incarcerated even though Blacks only account for 13% of the U.S. population.

This not only poses a problem for Blacks. It also poses a problem for all nationalities and races. A study in 2005 revealed that the Black male inmate population were collectively serving over 15,000,000 years in prison. These are years of fathers away from children, husbands away from dads and sons away from parents. Incarceration not only houses a person physically, it also houses them mentally with all that their potential has to offer the community. When they return to society, over 70% of them return within the first 3 years of their freedom (recidivism). This is due to the lack of true rehabilitation.

Going Against the Grain's mission is to get our books into the hands of at least 10% (100,000) of the black male prison population. We will then build a wall called the "Informed Inmate" within our website with all of the names of the prisons who obtained our book. Our books speak directly to those who do not have a clear picture of how their poor decisions affect their future and how these decisions ultimately lead them to prison. You can do so by making your purchase here and providing us with the delivery address of the inmate you know, or by making a donation. Your donation will go towards books being shipped to prisons across America we have partnered with.

Thanks for your support and keep "Going Against the Grain!"

Changing Your Mind One Degree at a Time How to Become a Successful Beauty Supply Store Owner
This book dispels the belief that racism is running rampant in America. It expresses that America is more interested in wealth and prosperity
over oppression and racism. With that being said, much of what Blacks have and currently encounter is driven by profits, which means if Blacks become a more economically competitive and self-sustaining group, other races will automatically respect and embrace the Black race.

This book speaks directly to parents who are struggling to raise a difficult child. Tips are offered and signs to look for are discussed. Professor Devin Robinson, once a juvenile delinquent, encourages committed parenting and innovative solutions to the readers.
